ways to keep me healthy.
This is an
excellent book. The doctor, Angelo Aquista, does a wonderful job of explaining
his way of eating. He goes into detail of how Americans eat too much fat and
not enough vegetables and fish. He gives mention of the Island of Crete, where
the people have low cholesterol and less heart attacks.
The best
part are The Mediterranean Prescription recipes. The salad and dressings are terrific. The food he
suggests, are very simple to make, easy to find, and taste wonderful.
Some of the foods are Chicken Cacciatore,Lentil soup, broiled lamb chops,etc. He gives a person a plan for losing weight and staying healthy. Topics also discussed are obesity,high blood pressure, artery disease, sleep apnea, and many other health issues.

The Mediterranean Prescription book really is telling us to eat
more vegetables, less fats, and avoid foods like cheese, pan-fried foods. Such
a simple diet but, so healthy. This book tells how to change your eating habits
if one really wants to be healthy. I hope to get my family to try some of his
great recipes.
